Summer of Sake: Miso Butter Corn

While many other parts of Asia are far more well known for street food and night markets (eating on the street is actually discouraged in most of Japan), the exception to this is Japan in the summertime. You’ll see streets lined with food vendors offering delicious fried, grilled, salty, and sweet delicacies that all happen to pair beautifully with sake. One of our favorites is miso butter grilled corn.

Add a Japanese flair to your next BBQ by coating ears of corn with a mixture of white/yellow miso, butter, mirin, sriracha, and soy sauce, wrapping in foil and setting on the grill. Serve with extra miso butter on the side, and a healthy pour of one of our favorite summertime sips!
